Something about the Adrian Chase Vigilante series must have really inspired artists. Going over the covers, I am really impressed by the consistent quality of them. Every illustrator brought their A-game, and I can remember the issues really standing out on the racks back in the early days of the direct market.

Even if Adrian Chase knew they had to work together, I don't think he'd stand a ghost of a chance convincing Marc Spector of that. Not without the initial (and sort-of-industry-mandated) mistaken identity slugfest between them.
Maybe the artists' inspiration was partly it being printed on better paper ('Baxter'?) than most comics at that time.
Love the title! :-)
"Nuff said."

By the fight of the silvery moon, the Knight gave Chase! Oh, what a knight!!
